My mom brought me two seeds to a bush w/purple flowers. Can anyone tell me what kind of plant this is? Help!
The bush was short, with main stems about 2 ft tall and long thin leaves that drooped like a weeping willow tree leaf. The flowers were a dark purple, very delicate, trumped shaped perhaps, many small roundish buds all together in a cluster with a tip formed at the end. Grown in zone 9 in Texas.
Sounds like you're describing a desert willow tree (Chilopsis linearis). However, that's a 20 ft. tall tree. If you could post a picture, that would be helpful.
