To anyone who plays percussion/crash cymbals. one quick question.?

Tomorrow is our bands performance for Veteran's Day, yay. lol. Anyway, I'm stuck on crash because everyone else is stupid and can't play them, ugh.
Anywho, we're preforming in the gym and I want my crash cymbal notes to sound clear. I'm not sure why but when I play consist (like, all four beats of the measure) it tends to get sloppy. Any suggestions to fix these little errors up?

I know this is after your performance, but maybe it can help in the future. Make sure you are holding the straps tight with your thumbs against the bell of the cymbal. Hold one of the cymbals still and move the other to make the crashes. Don't move both cymbals. How the cymbals hit each other is also important. If you hold the cymbals together in the correct position, the edges would be about 1 inch from each other. It is really hard to describe this in text. Good luck.
