Is $750 (USD) too much money for a used 7 yr old 6 piece Mapex M Series drum set with cymbals & hardware?
The set has not been played much in the last 4 years. The asking price includes the shells and all Mapex brand hardware - bass pedal, hi-hat stand/pedal, 2 tom stands and 4 tom mounts, 2 cymbal stands, a 20" Zildjian A Series ride cymbal (no damage), and the original starter "no name" 14" hi-hat and 16" crash cymbals, plus a basic throne. The Toms are 10, 12, 14, and 16" - and they are all suspend/stand mounted. Base is 22", and the snare 14 X 5.5". The shells are in good shape - there is only one "ding" on the base drum that scratched the paint. They are Red lacquer (not that the color matters...). All of the drum heads are used - Remo brand heads.
The set was purchased for approx $1200 new.

A bit high, I think. I'd offer $600 as a start and be willing to go to $675. At $750 there are better used kits generally available and even some decent quality brand new kits.
