Dear Friends,
If you’re like me, you will be amazed by the differences between today’s investigation, fraud examination, internal auditing and the practice of even a few years ago. Keeping up with technological changes and the accompanying audit and regulatory requirements can present even savvy techies with a major case of headache.
Fraud clearly is one of the hottest business issues of the day. And that’s not going to change in the foreseeable future—if ever. To adequately perform their work, everyone within an internal audit department and or investigation department must have a level of System Appraisal skill. After all, systemic failure is a fact of modern-day business life.
This brings me to the subject of this year’s CSI World Headquarters Annual Investigation, Fraud & Systemic Risk Management Conference, scheduled for 28 to 29 November 2007 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Although The CSI World Headquarters has offered this highly rated event for a number of years, our meeting planners are not sitting on their laurels. Instead, they are digging deeper for the latest in technology-related information, news, guidance, and ideas to address your needs and help you best serve your organization.
I think you’ll be very pleased with what they are putting together. From offering a path for enhancing your CSI audit skills, to demonstrating new techniques and sharing best practices, to creating a forum for brainstorming and learning from colleagues with like concerns, this event will be critical to your organization’s successful management of systemic risk and vulnerabilities.
Be proactive. Plan now to travel to Kuala Lumpur in November 2007 and you’ll take home CSI tools that will complement your arsenal against risk.
I hope to see you in Malaysia!
Sincerely,
Tommy Seah
Chairperson CSI World Headquarters
